Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival, we’ll transfer you to your pre-booked hotel or lodge in Arusha. Take the time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Your safari adventure begins with a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and the rare tree-climbing African python. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s stunning landscapes, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and an array of birdlife. In the evening, head to your lodge where you will spend the night in comfort with a private bathroom.
On day two, explore Lake Manyara National Park, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions and stunning panoramic views. The park features diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, grasslands, and the alkaline lake itself. You’ll also have the chance to witness waterfalls, hot springs, and babbling brooks. Spend the day on a game drive, enjoying sightings of flamingos, baboons, and other wildlife. After the game drive, you will head to your overnight stay at a lodge in Karatu.
On day three, after breakfast, embark on a journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, begin your game drive across the park’s vast savannahs, which are teeming with wildlife. The Serengeti is known for its part in the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles make their annual trek across the plains, followed by predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You will spend the night at a lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti, enjoying the sounds of the wilderness as you rest.
On day four, start your day with a walking safari, a unique opportunity to experience the Serengeti on foot. Guided by an expert, you will have the chance to see the smaller details of the ecosystem, from animal tracks to unique plant species. In the evening, if you wish, you can join an optional night game drive (additional cost), where you will witness the African wilderness come alive under the stars. Afterward, you will return to your lodge or tented camp for another night in the Serengeti.
On day five, enjoy an early-morning game drive in Serengeti before heading toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers beautiful views and more wildlife sightings. Your accommodation for the night will be at Africa Safari South Serengeti, located just a short distance from the Serengeti National Park. If you’re lucky, you may hear the distant roars of lions from your tent, creating a truly immersive experience.
The final day of your safari takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. After breakfast, descend into the crater, which is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including all members of the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and the critically endangered black rhino. The rich diversity of wildlife and the stunning landscape make this a highlight of your safari. After a full day of exploration, you will head back to Arusha in the afternoon, arriving before dinner.
