Overview

Materuni Waterfall is one of the most impressive waterfalls found around Kilimanjaro National Park. It is one of the tallest waterfalls having 70m height to its basin. Materuni is the home of the Chagga tribe and is still an authentic tribal village. On a clear day, views of Kibo peak and Moshi town can be seen.

Location: Materuni village, 37 km from Moshi. 40 minutes hike to the waterfall. Altitude 2500m.

Attractions: 70m waterfall, botanical gardens, Chagga culture, scenic views, birds, colobus monkeys.

Activities: Swimming, hiking, bird watching, photographing, traditional meals and brew.
